Voice of Pride

Voice of Pride (VOP) is a karaoke competition that seeks to find the singer that best represents New Orleans Pride. Eight preliminary rounds will be held at area bars (see schedule below) and entry is $8 at each round.  Contestants may enter as many preliminary rounds as they wish, as long as they are not selected as a finalist. 

For example, if you are NOT selected as the prelim winner at one (VOP) event, you are welcome to enter the prelim at another event, provided you pay the $8 entry fee each time.

The competition is held karaoke style, with lyrics provided on the screen and a library of tens of thousands of songs to choose from.  If your preferred song is not in the provided library, and a karaoke track for the song is available on the Internet, the host/DJ will be able to download the song for you, for a $2 charge.

Entrants are advised that the final competition, in which each preliminary winner will sing two songs, is NOT karaoke style. Singers will be required to have lyrics memorized.  Entry fees will not be assessed at the finals.
